In the latest incident of question paper leak in Barguna, Sunday's mathematics final exam of grade II at 140 primary schools in Betagi upazila has been suspended.
District Education Officer Md Abdul Majid confirmed the matter to the Dhaka Tribune.
“Immediately after noticing the mathematics question paper being available on social media Saturday night, the upazila education office cancelled the written exam previously scheduled for today (Sunday),” he said.
December 21 has been reset for the exam, he continued.
A probe committee, comprising of Upazila Assistant Teachers' Officer Abdus Salam and Upazila Resource Centre Instructor AKM Shahidullah, has been formed over the incident, which has been ordered to submit its findings within three days.
The first question paper leakage scam took place in the primary schools under the Sadar upazila on December 12. The incident repeated the following day, with the question papers of final exams of grades I and IV being leaked.
Afterwards, the Sadar upazila education office suspended the exams to be held at 248 primary schools.
One person was arrested but managed to secure bail.
