Aid workers told to leave Kutupalong Rohingya camp after sunset
Cox’s Bazar district administration has announced that no one will be allowed entry to the Rohingya camps without authorised identification cards. In addition, the all mosques, madrasas and schools have been ordered to be demolished. At around 8pm Wednesday, Deputy Administrator Md Ali Hossain read out the directive at a meeting attended by Road, Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader. The directive stated that every local and international aid workers in the camps will have to leave after sunset. Any new construction of mosques, madrasas or schools will require authorisation from the army. Anybody found in the camps without authorisation will be arrested promptly.
