Most of the central leaders of the Awami League, some of whom are also Cabinet members, celebrated Eid-ul-Azha in their respective constituencies.
During the Eid holidays, they met up with grass-roots leaders and activists to discuss the preparation for the upcoming 11th parliamentary election.
Several leaders also took part in small public gatherings.
Awami League Joint General Secretary Abdur Rahman spent his Eid holidays in his district, during which he met with voters and exchanged Eid greetings with the locals.
He also participated in several meetings and listened to what local leaders and activists had to say about the preparation for the election.
Information and Research Secretary Afzal Hossain met with several people during the Eid holidays.
On Eid day, he exchanged greetings with grass-roots leaders and activists in Patuakhali Sadar and Dumki upazilas. He also met with patients and people with disabilities in the area.
The central leaders provided aid to the underprivileged before Eid day as well.
Awami League organising secretaries Ahmed Hossain, AFM Bahauddin Nasim, and Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury spent their Eid vacation in their respective towns, while Mohibul Hassan Chowdhury celebrated Eid with his family in Chittagong.
