The Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) fixed 361 spots in 41 wards of the city for slaughtering sacrificial animals during Eid-ul-Azha.
Chittagong City Corporation Mayor AJM Nasir Uddin disclosed the spots at a press conference held on Wednesday.
The mayor said they selected the slaughter spots in an effort to accelerate the cleaning work during Eid.
He also urged the city dwellers to use the designated places to keep the city clean.
Nasir said they will put up tarpaulin canopies in the designated spots for convenience of the people.
He said: “We have set a target of cleaning all the sacrificial waste within a day. As part of the cleaning drive, we have cancelled the vacation of our cleaning staff.
“Around 4,000 cleaners will work on the day of Eid and the following day.”
The cleaners will work from at 11am to 6pm on the day of Eid.
Meanwhile, Chittagong City Corporation has also opened a control room to coordinate the work and ensure faster disposal of waste.
Last year, the city corporation had fixed 387 slaughter spots for Eid sacrifice.
