Two Myanmarese held with Tk2.4 crore yaba pills
The Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has detained two Myanmar nationals in possession of 80,000 yaba tablets worth Tk2.4 crore in Teknaf upazila of Cox's Bazar. The detainees are Jonayed and Mohammad Zohor, aged between 20 and 30, who hail from the bordering country's Akyab district. Acting Commander Shariful Islam Jomadar of BGB Battalion No 2 in Teknaf said, on information, they nabbed the duo from the upazila's Sabrang union parishad on Thursday morning. The Myanmar citizens were later handed over to Teknaf police station, where two cases were filed against them for intrusion and drug peddling.
