The infant was identified as Nipa Tripura, 3, daughter of Chabhacharan Tripura.
Civil Surgeon Dr Azizur Rahman Siddiqui told the Dhaka Tribune that the child died while undergoing treatment at the CMCH.
Apart from measles, the child was also suffering from malnutrition, pneumonia and other ailments.
He also informed the Dhaka Tribune about four other children who were receiving treatment at the CMCH and 19 others at the Bangladesh Institute of Tropical and Infectious Disease (BITID) at Fouzderhat in Chittagong.
Earlier on July 12, nine children died in just four days at Tripura Para. According to the Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR), the children were suffering from measles and malnutrition.
