On Wednesday, police detained eight people after a clash between HWF members and the police and Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members.

While five of the other detainees were given bail, three of these women were sent to jail.
BGB also filed a case against 26 people named and 40 unidentified people, including the HWF's Khagrachhari Chairperson Ditiya Chakma, in connection with the clash on Wednesday, where the accused have been charged for attacking the BGB and for obstructing their duties.
Pahari Chhatra Parishad, supported by The United People's Democratic Front, has protested against the attack and arrest by declaring an immediate strike and has vandalised 20 vehicles in Khagrachhari's Ramgarh, Manikchhari and Panchhari.
