Two JU students killed in Savar road accident

Two students of Jahangirnagar University (JU) have been killed as a bus hit a human hauler on the Dhaka-Aricha highway in Savar. The deceased Nazmul Hasan Rana, 24, was a student of the Marketing department and Mehedi Hasan Arafat, 24, a student of the Microbiology department at the university. "Nazmul and Arafat were returning to campus on a human hauler from a Savar mosque after attending a religious sermon around 5am on Friday," JU Proctor Tapan Kumar Saha said. "Police reached the spot and took the duo to Enam Medical College Hospital where doctors declared Nazmul dead,” the proctor added. Later, Arafat succumbed to his injuries around 12pm, the hospital authorities said.
