Barisal’s 2 of 3 missing schoolgirls found
Two of the three schoolgirls, who went missing from Banaripara upazila on Tuesday, have been found in Barisal city. One of them, grade VI student Sumaiya Aktar of Chakhar Wazed Memorial School, was found in Gorier Par area of the city Thursday morning. Her friend Ankhi Mistri, a grade VIII student of Banaripara Girls School, was found at the city's Muktijoddha Park on Wednesday night. Ankhi's classmate Swarna Aktar is still missing. Banaripara police's Officer-in-Charge Sajjad Hossain said on Friday that the girls had disappeared after they left home for private tuition in Banaripara. The parents of Sumaiya and Swarna filed complaints with Banaripara police on Wednesday. Ankhi and Sumaiya told the police that the trio had come to Barisal with their friends for sightseeing, according to the OC. It is unclear who were accompanying the girls and how they ended up in separate locations. Police say they are looking for the third missing student, Swarna.
