A three-member probe committee has been formed to investigate the apparent suicide of a man and his daughter that shook the nation's conscience.
Gazipur district police formed the probe committee on Monday, reports the UNB.
Additional superintendent of police Golam Sabur will head the committee, said Superintendent of Police of Gazipur M Harun-or-Rashid.
He said the committee has been asked to provide its report within three days.
Hazrat Ali, 45, along with his eight-year-old daughter Ayesha Akhter reportedly committed suicide by jumping before a running train near Sreepur Railway Station on April 29, having failed to get justice over an attempt by adversaries to violate the minor girl and grab his land.
