CMP's DB police members have recovered the SIM card of Mahmuda Aktar Mitu, the murdered wife of former SP Babul Aktar, from a rickshaw puller at Lalmohan upazila in Bhola district.
The SIM was recovered on Tuesday night.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (north) Mohammad Quamruzzaman, also investigation officer of the murder case, told reporters on Wednesday that the police were yet to find the victim's mobile phone.
Quamruzzaman said that the rickshaw puller had found the SIM by the road three months ago in Bakolia area of Chittagong city.

Incidentally, the arms and a motorcycle suspected to have been used in the murder were also seized from Bakolia.
The rickshaw puller was not arrested as he was found innocent, he added.
Saheda Mosharraf Neela, Mitu's mother, alleged to the police on January 26 that she had found Mitu's number still active.
Mitu was stabbed and shot dead on June 5 last year when she was walking her six-year-old son to the school bus near the GEC intersection in the port city.
Police have made several arrests but have yet to find a motive behind the murder during their eight month-long investigation.
