Charge framing for Tangail AL leader Farukh murder deferred
Primary accused of the Farukh murder Amanur Rahman Khan Rana could not attend the court due to illness. The attendance of six other accused in the case have been submitted to the court, but seven more are still on the run. Tangail’s Additional Session and District Judge Abul Monsur Ahmed fixed March 15 as the next day for charge framing. Farukh’s bullet-ridden body was recovered from the street in front of his house on January 18, 2013. His wife Nahar filed a case three days after the incident took place. Later, Detective Branch of police’s investigation revealed the involvement of Awami League lawmaker Amanur along with his three brothers in the incident. Police submitted the charge sheet to the court on February 3, 2016, accusing 14 people in connection with the murder.
