2 BGB men among 4 injured in dispute over grazing at Rowmari no-man’s land
ABM Sajedul Islam, officer-in-charge of Rowmari police station, confirmed this to the Dhaka Tribune. Sources said some villagers went to the no-man’s-land to graze their cows when members of 35-BGB battalion prevented them for security reasons. A heated verbal exchange led to a clash, injuring four. Lt Col Atikur Rahman, director of 35-BGB, said: “The attackers are not villagers. They are smugglers.” He also said he was going to visit the area and take legal actions against the culprits. Afterwards additional force was deployed to tighten the security measures in the area. Tensions are running high in the area following the clash.
