Army chief inducted to 'Mirpur Hall of Fame'

General Aziz Ahmed is a graduate of the 19th Army Staff Course of DSCSC for the academic year 1994-95

Chief of Army Staff of Bangladesh Army General Aziz Ahmed has been inducted to “Mirpur Hall of Fame” at the Sheikh Hasina Complex of Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC) in Mirpur Cantonment, on Tuesday.

When officers of any Armed Forces has earned the  Staff College (PSC) degree from DSCSC and held the highest post in their respective forces, they are anointed to the “Hall of Fame” list through an induction ceremony. General Aziz Ahmed is a graduate of the 19th Army Staff Course of DSCSC for the academic year 1994-95.

It is to be noted that among the officers of Bangladesh Armed Forces, so far six Army chiefs, four Navy chiefs, and three Air Force chiefs have been inducted to the DSCSC “Hall of Fame.” Among the foreign student-officers, two Sri Lankan army chiefs (commanders) have been awarded the distinction.
