Rights group Ain o Salish Kendra has expressed alarm at the mysterious deaths of two persons accused of rape in the same pattern.

In a statement issued on Sunday, ASK demanded proper investigations into the two incidents: the first in Savar in January 18 and the second in Jhalakathi on Friday, where two young men accused in recent rape incidents were found shot dead. Both had notes stuck on their bodies stating their alleged crime.

“ASK is deeply concerned by the similar incidents. We believe they require propre investigation that will reveal the truth,” the statement said.

Under the constitution and the principles of human rights, all persons have the right to fair trial, the organization said.
