Comparing question leakers with militants, Rapid Action Battalion’s Director General Benazir Ahmed on Monday said the country’s law enforcement agencies “must eliminate question leakers like we dealt with militants.”
He also said the elite force under him will go hard on students and guardians found involved with the question paper leak in the ongoing Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations.
“This time, if we find any questions leaked from any student or guardian before any exam, we will take legal action. We let them go last year considering their career; but this year people will be held responsible,” he said during a press briefing at the RAB headquarters on Monday.
Benazir also said RAB detained eight people from different parts of the country in the last three days for their alleged involvement in trying to collect money from students and guardians through social media saying that they will leak HSC question paper.
“No question was found with them. Actually, they were trying to collect money by fraudulent means,” he said.
The RAB DG said his force has been conducting investigation into earlier incidents of question paper leaks.
