Law minister puts chief justice remarks to rest
Minister of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Anisul Huq said he will speak to the chief justice over their respective remarks. Earlier in March, Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha said the prime minister was being misled about the judiciary. He went on to comment on the government and the state of the parliament. Minister Anisul Huq had later responded to the chief justice’s remarks by saying “the chief justices of other countries do not comment on political affairs.”
