It also suggested establishing doping test laboratories in drug-prone areas and setting up separate courts for the trial of drug traffickers.
The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Home Ministry came up with the recommendations at its 14th meeting held at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban chaired by Tipu Munshi.
The committee also recommended the same for any new recruit to any organisation.
Citing drug abuse as a national problem, the committee recommended modernising the mobile courts to resist the spread of drug abuse and opening separate wards at government hospitals for the treatment of drug addicts.
The meeting attendees included committee member Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan, Home Senior Secretary Dr M Mozzammel Haque Khan, Inspector General of Police (IGP) and high officials of Home Ministry and Parliament Secretariat.
