President Abdul Hamid has officially invited Awami League President Sheikh Hasina to form the new government after her party's massive victory in the 11th parliamentary elections.
The president extended the invitation after Sheikh Hasina went to Bangabhaban, the president's official residence, to meet with him, reported UNB.
The prime minister arrived in Bangabhaban at 4:20pm.
This is the first meeting between the prime minister with the president after Awami League's landslide victory in the general elections on Sunday.
