Awami League Presidium Member Lt Col (retd) Faruq Khan led the delegation

An Awami League delegation has left Dhaka for China on a week-long visit at the invitation of the Communist Party of China (CPC).

Awami League Presidium Member Lt Col (retd) Faruq Khan, led the delegation, left Dhaka on Sunday afternoon.

During the visit, the delegation will meet ministers of the Chinese government and senior leaders of the CPC. They (delegation) will also visit important development projects of the Chinese government.

The delegation members include Joint General Secretary Jahangir Kabir Nanak, MP, International Affairs Secretary Dr Shammi Ahmed, Forest and Environment Affairs Secretary Delwar Hossain, Science and Technology Affairs Secretary Abdus Sabur, Education and Human Resource Secretary Shamsur Nahar Champa, Agriculture and Cooperative Affairs Secretary Faridunnahar Laili, and Organizing Secretaries Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury and Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury Nowfel.

The delegation will return home on November 4.

Earlier, a 19-member delegation of Awami League visited China on September last year.
