Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen has expressed deep shock at the demise of journalist and columnist Robert Fisk.
"The writings of Robert Fisk on the issues of the Middle-East were fact-based, objective and they reflect the reality in the Middle-East. His understanding was clear and he will be remembered as a great journalist," Momen said in a message on Wednesday.
Veteran journalist Fisk, one of the best-known Middle-East correspondents who spent his career reporting from the troubled region and won accolades for challenging mainstream narratives died on Sunday at a hospital in Dublin, shortly after he was taken there after falling ill at his home in the Irish capital.
