Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her Indian counterpart Narendra Modi are likely to have a meeting – possibly in December.
Speaking to Dhaka Tribune on Monday, Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen said the two governments were discussing the matter.
“We are currently discussing the matter of the two prime ministers meeting,” he added.
It is yet undecided whether the meeting will be in person or virtual, he further said.
“It is too early to say whether the meeting will take place in person or virtually,” Dr Momen said. “If the Covid-19 situation remains unchanged, the meeting will be virtual.”
The foreign minister hinted at signing of bilateral agreements during the meeting, but did not elaborate further, according to UNB.
"India is our neighbour and our best friend. We have many things to discuss," he added.
He further said the foreign minister-level meeting between the two countries on Tuesday would be a shorter one, and they were not planning to sign any documents.
