The government has decided to appoint retired senior secretary Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan as the country’s next ambassador to Germany.
He will replace Imtiaz Ahmed.
Ambassador-designate Bhuiyan is a former senior secretary to the government. Before his retirement from government service on January 03, 2020, he held important positions in the administration, including chairman of the National Board of Revenue.
Bhuiyan obtained his Bachelor of Social Sciences and Masters of Social Sciences degree in economics from the University of Dhaka. He also completed a Master of Arts degree in development economics from Williams College in Massachusetts, USA.
