Dhaka stands ready to provide any other emergency assistance to Beirut
Bangladesh has decided to send emergency food and medical team along with medical supplies to Lebanon.
Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, was hit hard by explosions that killed and injured many, including Bangladeshis.
Apart from the aids, Bangladesh stands ready to provide any other emergency assistance to Lebanon, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen telephoned his Lebanese counterpart Charbel Wehbe on Wednesday to express sympathy for the victims of the explosions and to offer the assistance.

During the call, Dr Momen expressed gratitude to the Lebanese government for its overall help, including treatment, for Bangladeshi citizens.
The powerful explosions in Beirut killed four Bangladesh nationals and injured nearly 100, including 21 Bangladesh Navy personnel.
Besides, Bangladesh Navy ship Bijoy, anchored near the site of explosions, has been damaged.
The blasts have killed at least 135 people, and injured thousands.
