Bangladesh and Myanmar army chiefs will discuss repatriation of Myanmar citizens from Bangladesh
Chief of Army Staff General Aziz Ahmed will leave Dhaka for Myanmar on Sunday on a four-day official visit.
General Aziz is scheduled to meet Deputy Chief of Myanmar Armed Forces and its Army Chief Vice Senior General Soe Win, an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) press release said on Saturday, reports BSS.
During the meeting, the two army chiefs will discuss further strengthening the friendly relations between the two military forces, training exchanges, making goodwill visits, increasing mutual cooperation, and repatriation of forcefully displaced Myanmar citizens from Bangladesh.
During his stay, General Aziz Ahmed will also visit various military and civil establishments including Myanmar National Defence College, Command and Staff College, and Military Museum.
The army chief is expected to return home on December 11.
