The Bangladesh head of the state is on 7-day official visit to two central Asian countries
President Abdul Hamid was accorded a red carpet welcome as he arrived in Bukhara International Airport, Bukhara city, in Uzbekistan from Tajik capital Dushanbe.
A VVIP special flight of Uzbekistan Air Force carrying the president and his entourage members landed at Bukhara International Airport at 1:25pm on Sunday.
The Bangladesh head of the state, who is on 7-day official visit to two central Asian states – Tajikistan and Uzbekistan – arrived Bukhara after attending the fifth summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (Cica) in Tajikistan, reports BSS.
The president will attend some official program in Bukhara, a Foreign Ministry spokesman said on his arrival at Bukhara airport where he was received by high officials.
The president’s wife, Rashida Khanam, and Foreign Minister Dr AK Momen, among others, are accompanying him.
President Abdul Hamid is scheduled to return home on June 19.
