The government has started taking the necessary preparations to hold the 45th session of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) from May 5-6.
An inter-ministerial meeting will be held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday, with a view to discussing the details of the upcoming event.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs Secretary-Bilateral (Asia & Pacific) Mahbub Uz Zaman will preside over the meeting, an official said.
Various issues, including media, publicity and publication issues, are reportedly on the agenda for discussion.
Earlier this month, OIC Secretary General Dr Yousef Al-Othaimeen met with Bangladesh Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali and discussed means to increase cooperation, as well as the preparations for the 45th session of the OIC CFM.
