The online application of the fully funded program is open until March 7
An advanced level workshop titled, "Workshop Encouraging Film and Web Content on Social Issues" is going to be held in Cox's Bazar from April.
The project is funded through an Alumni Thematic International Exchange Seminars (Alumni Ties) small grant from the US Department of State which is administrated by World Learning, a press release said on Saturday.
EMK Center and Dream On is collaborating as the partner of the project.
The online application window of the fully funded program opened on February 27 and it will close on March 7. There is no particular age limit to apply.
Through the skill development program, 20 young film-makers (10 men, 10 women) will receive extensive training to develop film and web series projects on social issues.
According to the press release the aim of this three-month long program is to bring sustainability in the film industry of Bangladesh by empowering and nurturing the young creative minds, where women film-makers' voices are heard as much as the male counterpart.
In the advanced level workshop, participants are required to have previous experience of writing, directing, and/or producing short film, documentary, TVC and/or OVC in last five years, in order to apply.
"Anyone who has been dreaming to make feature films, web series, and cares about the stories of underprivileged community, youth movement and social stereotypes, should give it a try," the statement added.
