Onupran Early Childhood Development Centre (ECD) has inaugurated a creative activity-based program called “Manush Gorar Karkhana” at its own premises in Mirpur, Dhaka from 10 am to 5 pm.
This venture of the Onupran Early Childhood Development (ECD) Centre – inaugurated on Saturday and active from 10am to 5pm – is the newest in a wide range of activities.
“Manush Gorar Karkhana” is an after school program with an activity-based curriculum for children aged 4-8 years, focused on developing creative and analytical skills of children.
The event consisted of craft and hand-painting workshops, playing with a wide range of play materials including hand-made puppets, and displays of robotics activities for kids.
As the chief guest of the event, renowned cartoonist Ahsan Habib said there is a need for this type of creative activity-based schools in Dhaka for the improved mental growth of children.
“For the betterment of the future, we need more schools like Onupran, which will not only give regular education, but also conduct activities to help children grow in a balanced manner, he added.
Dhaka North City Corporation’s ward 11 councillor Dewan Abdul Mannan also attended the event as special guest.
Onupran was incepted by Kazi Homaira Nirjhar and Saiqa Siraj. Its other services include preschool for children between 3-8 years of age; and comprehensive pre-pregnancy, antenatal, and postnatal care support and services.
