Nasa Space Apps Challenge 2018 kicks off

This year’s campaign involved approximately 5 million students virtually and approximately 100,000 students will participate physically in this event

Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) along with BASIS Student’s Forum organized “Nasa Space Apps Challenge-2018” for the 4th time. 

BASIS President Syed Almas Kabir, Basis Vice President (Finance) Mushfiqur Rahman, Nasa Space Apps Challenge Convener Didarul Alam, Joint Convener Ariful Hasan Opu were present at the opening ceremony on Friday. 

BASIS President Syed Almas Kabir said, Nasa Space Apps Challenge is an international mass collaboration focused on space exploration that takes place over 48-hours in 250 cities around the world. 

This year’s campaign involved approximately 5 million students virtually and approximately 100,000 students will participate physically in this event.

The prize-giving ceremony will be held on Saturday after a 36-hour-long Hack-a-Thon. Posts, Telecommunications & ICT Minister Mustafa Jabbar will be present as chief guest and Posts and Telecommunication Divisions Secretary Shyam Sunder Sikder will be present as special guest.
