The event concluded with a session on 'Cosmopolitan Ethic in Action'
The Aga Khan National Council for Bangladesh on Saturday celebrated the diamond jubilee of Aga Khan at the Ismaili Jamatkhana and Centre in the Bashundhara Residential Area in Dhaka.
The event concluded with a session on “Cosmopolitan Ethic in Action”.
As the keynote speaker, Brac Chairman and Founder Fazle Hasan Abed in his speech said: “Cosmopolitanism is acceptance and appreciation of the fact that we human beings will choose to express ourselves in different ways.”
Mohammadi Group Managing Director Dr Rubana Huq in her address said: “Cosmopolitan ethic means that we neither expect nor desire that every person or society should converge on a single mode of life but have a moral and ethical choice to change whatever we can within our means.”
The event was attended by members of the academia, representatives of civil society, business leaders and members of the Ismaili community. l
