As the fourth phase of upazila polls begins in 107 upazilas, voting at four centres in Comilla’s Titas upazila has been suspended.

The suspended voting centres are Daskandi, Porakandi and Bandharampur Government Primary Schools in Titas upazila and Bareshwar Government Primary School in Burichang upazila.

Confirming the matter, Titas Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Rasheda Akhter said: “Voting has been suspended at the centres before polling even began in the morning, following allegations of stamping ballot papers, attempts to occupy the centre and a chase and counter-chase between the supporters of rival candidates.”
