The Election Commission has suspended voting in all polling centres of Katiadi upazila in Kishoreganj following allegations of irregularities during the third phase of upazila elections.

Also withdrawn over the incidents were Additional Superintendent of Police Md Shafiqul Islam and Katiadi police station Officer-in-Charge Shamsuddin Miah, confirmed the Kishoreganj Deputy Commissioner Md Sarwar Murshed Chowdhury.
District Election Officer Mohammad Tajul Islam said voting at 89 polling stations in the upazila was suspended a few hours after the election began, over allegations of vote stuffing at night.
Voting in elections for 117 upazila parishads began on Sunday morning in the third phase of the local body polls.
