Chief Election Commissioner KM Nurul Huda has said the election environment for the Dhaka north and south city corporation polls is peaceful.
He remarked this while addressing the media at the Election Commission headquarters in Agargaon, Dhaka, around 9:45am on Thursday.
He later visited the IES School and College polling centre in Dhaka’s Uttara and cast his vote in the DNCC mayoral by-polls.
Voting in the Dhaka North City Corporation mayoral by-election, and in 36 wards of Dhaka north and south city corporations began at 8am on Thursday morning.
