ASM Abdur Rab: Election irregularities will be probed

Jatiya Oikya Front and its partners will collectively decide about taking the oath of office

BNP and Jatiya Oikya Front will probe the irregularities that took place during the 11th parliamentary election held on December 30, said a Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) official.

JSD President ASM Abdur Rab said: "We, along with the general people of Bangladesh, will probe all irregularities that took place during the 11th general polls. However, if necessary, we will bring the [report on] election irregularities to the international community."

He made this remark ahead of Jatiya Oikya Front's meeting which is scheduled to be held around 12pm at the BNP chairperson’s Gulshan office on Thursday.

Gono Forum Mostafa Mohsin Montu said: "We are yet to decide whether we will take the oath of office. Our leaders and other alliance partners will collectively decide about the matter. Further updates will be provided in the post-meeting press briefing."
