Oikya Front demands fresh polls, again

Dr Kamal Hossain also said that they will take decision later about oaths of winner candidates from JOF alliance

Jaitya Oikya Front chief Dr Kamal Hossain has reiterated his demand for a new election under a non-partisan government, merely 24 hours after making the same demand.

“After considering all aspects, Jatiya Oikya Front is rejecting the results of election. We also demand a free, fair and inclusive election under neutral government,” Kamal told reporters after meeting with the alliance leaders in Motijheel.

The veteran leader, who was at the forefront of the opposition endavour before the 11th general polls, also said that they will take decision later about oaths of winner candidates from JOF alliance.

He also said the platform will submit a memorandum to Election Commission.

The alliance will announce fresh movement after submitting the memorandum, the octogenarian jurist said.

On Sunday, few years after the close of polling, Dr Kamal called the election a farce and demanded fresh voting.
