He expressed concerns over the fairness of the polls in a press conference at Gono Forum's office

The country is witnessing a massively unfair election, Jatiya Oikya Front chief Dr Kamal Hossain has said.

"No fair voting is going on in any centres across the country," he said at a press conference held at the Gono Forum office in the Arambagh area of Dhaka at 1pm on Sunday.

"It is a matter of regret that we still have to discuss fairness in elections 47 years after the Liberation War," he said.

The Dhaka 7 BNP candidate Mostofa Mohsin Montu, also present at the press conference, claimed their polling agents had been kicked out of 91 centres.

The Dhaka 6 Gono Forum candidate Subrata Chowdhury said: "Our centres have been taken under the opposition's control since 7am. None of the voters had been allowed inside."
