Mirza Fakhrul alleged that a separate ballot box stuffed with ballot papers will be kept at polling centres before the voting starts, accusing the ruling party of rigging the election

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said the BNP will not accept the results of the election if anyone wins using unfair means.

The Jatiya Oikya Front spokesperson made the statement at a press briefing at his residence in Kalibari in Thakurgaon on Saturday night.

Mirza Fakhrul alleged that a separate ballot box stuffed with ballot papers will be kept at polling centres before the voting starts, accusing the ruling party of rigging the election.

"Why hold an election in the first place? If the Awami League wants to remain in power forever, why do we need such a farce?"

The administration has arrested innumerable BNP leaders and activists and kept the cases pending against them. Just to ensure that they cannot go to polling centres, he claimed.

Fakhrul said that this election has already become an enigma. "We can already guess what the outcome will be. But, we still have confidence in the people. There will be a change if they vote."
