Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad will return home from Singapore on Wednesday, three days before the 11th parliamentary election.
"Our chairman was scheduled to return home tomorrow (Monday), but it was rescheduled for due to unavoidable circumstances," Jatiya Party presidium member SM Faisal Chisti said on Sunday, reports UNB.
As per the revised schedule, he said, Ershad will return on Wednesday.
Chisti said Ershad's physical condition has improved, but he still is undergoing treatment. "We hope he will recover soon."
Ershad is contesting the December 30 polls from the Dhaka 17 and Rangpur 3 constituencies, but he could not carry out any election campaign as he has been in Singapore for nearly two weeks, he said.
