Election-related activities are ongoing in the Sreemangal and Kamolganj upazila tea estates.

The workers from the tea estates of these regions will decide who the next MP of Moulvibazar 4 constituency will be.

There are 70 tea gardens in these two upazilas.

Keeping the upcoming election in mind, candidates are prioritizing tea estate workers in their campaign.

There has been a sudden change in day-to-day lives ahead of the election.

Local voters said all Awami League and BNP candidates are enthusiastic about visiting the tea gardens and are asking for the workers’ votes.

An election-related festival is ongoing everywhere inside the tea estates, they said.

During the previous elections, tea garden workers’ votes played a major role in electing the MP.

According to sources from election offices in Sreemangal and Kamolganj, there are 398,830  voters in the constituency, of which 85,000 are tea workers.

The workers of the tea estates prioritize the voting symbol over the candidate; because of that, Awami League remains in a favourable position for this seat.
