Sajeeb Wazed Joy, the information and communication technology (ICT) adviser to the prime minister, has urged people not to vote for war criminals and their allies.
He made the remark in his verified Facebook account on Sunday in a status posted on the occasion of Victory Day.
“I can never forget how many years ago Bangladesh became independent. I was born in the middle of our War of Liberation. Bangladesh and I are the same age,” Joy wrote in his post.
“Forty-seven years after our Victory Day, let us vow never to vote for war criminals and their alliance partners, the BNP and Oikya Front.”
He said: “A vote for sheaf of paddy is a vote for those that murdered 3 million of our country men. Joy Bangla! Joy Bangabandhu!”
