PM leaves Tungipara for Dhaka

She will address seven political rallies along the way

Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina left Tungipara, for Dhaka, on Thursday.

She started her journey around 9:04am, by road, from Tungipara, reports UNB.

Before starting her journey, Hasina recited an excerpt of the Quran and offered a munajat at the grave of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

On her way back to Dhaka, Hasina will address rallies at the: Bhanga circle in Faridpur, Faridpur circle, Rajbari Road circle, Manikganj bus stand, Rabeya Medical College and Hospital premises in Dhamrai, and Savar bus stand.

Previously, on Wednesday, the Awami League president launched her party's election campaign, seeking votes for “The Boat” in the upcoming 11th general election — at a public rally on the grounds of Sheikh Lutfar Rahman Government Degree College at Kotalipara in Gopalganj.

The election is slated for December 30.
