The returning officer had rejected it based on a pending credit card bill
Jayita Oikya Front leader Reza Kibria has been cleared to contest the 11th general elections from Habiganj 1 constituency.
Reza’s nomination was scrapped by returning officer on grounds of a pending credit card bill on December 2, after which he filed an appeal with the Election Commission.
The commission granted his appeal on Friday, Reza’s lawyer told reporters.
Reza Kibria is the son of former Awami League finance minister AMS Kibria who was an MP from Habiganj 3 constituency.
