The finance minister greeted Enam with sweets
BNP’s Sylhet 1 candidate, Enam Ahmed Chowdhury, has paide a courtesy visit to Finance Minister AMA Muhith at his Sylhet residence.
Enam, also a former Privatization Commission chairman, went to Muhith’s Dhopadighirpar Hafiz Complex residence around 10am on Thursday.
The finance minister greeted Enam with sweets. Awami League candidate for Sylhet 1, Muhith’s younger brother Dr AK Abdul Momen, and another brother, Dr M Abdul Mubin, were also present there at the time.
Sylhet City BNP Vice President Saleh Ahmed Khosru said: “Enam Chowdhury went for a courtesy visit to the finance minister’s house. This is a tradition among the people of Sylhet. Even former finance minister Saifur Rahman visited AMA Muhith’s house during his election time.”
Enam also went to the shrines of Hazrat Shahjalal (R) and Hazrat Shahporan (R) on Thursday.
Enam, along with BNP chairperson’s Adviser, Khandaker Abdul Muktadir, was given nomination from the Sylhet 1 constituency. One of them will participate in the 11th general election.
