BNP is handing out nomination letters to its candidates for the second day.

Aspirants thronged the BNP chief’s Gulshan office since Tuesday morning with their supporters, reports UNB.
Party Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir inaugurated the process on Monday. He handed over nomination letters of BNP chief Khaleda Zia to party’s Bogra unit President Saiful Islam for Bogra 6 and Khaleda’s adviser Helaluzzaman Lalu for Bogura 7 seats.
Fakhrul said they have nominated two candidates in most seats while single contenders have been picked only in the constituencies of the party’s senior leaders.
He said they kept additional aspirants in case of any the candidate’s nomination is annulled during scrutiny.
The BNP has not disclosed the number of letters it handed out on Monday. Singers Rumana Islam Kanak Chapa and Baby Naznin were among those who received nomination letters for Sirajganj 1 and Nilphamari 4 seats, respectively.
Apart from them, former Awami League parliamentarian Golam Maula Rony joined the BNP and collected nomination letter the same day.
