"The last day of submitting the nomination papers to returning officers is Wednesday. The candidates are urged not to organize any processions or showdowns during the submission of nomination papers," he said at a press briefing at the Election Commission Secretariat in Agargaon.

“Candidates will have to follow the election code of conduct while collecting and submitting nomination forms,” said Helal Uddin.

Nomination seekers can collect the forms from returning or assistant returning officers and submit it within 5 pm tomorrow.

Nomination seekers for the first time can submit their forms online.

He said aspirants cannot take more than 5-6 people with them while going to returning officers for submitting their nomination papers.

He said:"Returning officers have been given directives to take action against those who have already started campaigning."

Candidates have been asked not to start campaigning for election or hold any showdowns or rallies before December 10 as the election symbols will not be allocated before that time.

The 11th parliamentary election is scheduled to be held across the country on December 30.
