The election is expected to be held at the end of December

The Election Commission (EC) will announce the schedule of the 11th national election after October 30.

“The countdown to the next general election will start after October 30. The election schedule will be announced but it will be decided by the commission,” Commission Secretary Helaluddin Ahmed told reporters on Monday.
He said they have already completed 80% of the preparations to hold the elections that are scheduled to be held in the last week of December.

Helal said voter lists on CDs have already been prepared, and they will be sent to all districts and upazilas by September 25.

Lists of polling centers are being sent to the commission and they will be published as a gazette, after being reviewed, 25 days before the election, the commission secretary added.
