Socialist Party of Bangladesh's Barisal city mayoral candidate Manisha Chakraborty claimed she was harassed by Awami League activists at the Sadar Girls' High School polling centre on Monday morning.

She told the media that they got reports that ruling party activists were stuffing ballots at a number of voting centres. She then started visiting those centres.

“I saw them stuffing ballots at Sadar Girls' center around 9:30am. When we protested, the Awami League men harassed me twice — inside the centre and outside the school,” she said.

She alleged the centre’s presiding officer and law enforcers did not obstruct the ruling party activists.

Manisha went to visit the centre after casting her vote at Oxford Mission High School around 8:15am.
