Exams will also be held at seven divisional cities alongside the centres in Dhaka
Dhaka University will hold its admission tests for the 2020-21 academic year from October 1.
Apart from the capital, the tests will also be held at all divisional cities of the country.
Honours first year admission tests for 2020-21 could not be held in 2020 due to the pandemic situation.
This is the first time that DU will hold its admission tests outside Dhaka, Vice Chancellor Prof Md Akhtaruzzaman said at a press conference on Wednesday.
Outside Dhaka, eligible applicants can sit for the tests at Chittagong University, Rajshahi University, Khulna University, Bangladesh Agricultural University in Mymensingh, Shahjalal University of Science and Technology in Sylhet, Barisal University, and Begum Rokeya University in Rangpur, said Prof Akhtaruzzaman.

The decision to hold the exams outside Dhaka was taken to allow students to reach test centres in less time, save money as well as reduce inconvenience, the DU VC said.
The exam for the "Ka" unit will be held on October 1, followed by the "Kha" unit on October 2, "Ga" unit on October 22, and "Gha" unit on October 23, while the general knowledge exam of the “Cha” unit will take place on October 9.
The exams will start at 11am on the given dates and continue for 1.5 hours.
DU has adopted a zero-tolerance policy towards fraudulent activities during admission tests, Prof Akhtaruzzaman stated.
The frauds as well as students who got admitted using deceitful means have been brought under the law, the VC added.
