The SSC and equivalent examinations took place from February 3 to March 5 this year
The results of Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations are likely to be published this month.
Prof Md Abul Bashar, controller of examinations at the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Dhaka, who is also convener of the Inter-Education Board Examination Controller Sub-Committee, confirmed the matter to Dhaka Tribune on Monday.
"All education boards across Bangladesh are working in full swing to prepare the results. The answer scripts have all been scrutinized. The only thing left to verify are the OMR [optical mark recognition] sheets," he said.
Despite the Covid-19 crisis, is possible to publish the results by this month, Bashar added.
The respective chairpersons of all education boards hand over the results to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina every year.
However, no directives were issued by the Education Ministry in this regard, he said.
Every year, the Education Minister makes an official announcement of the results from the International Mother Language Institute, he said.
According to the Education ministry 16,35,240 candidates from 28,884 institutions participated in SSC under nine general boards.
Of which, 8,43,322 were female and 7,91,918 were male students. Besides, 2,61,254 students took the Dakhil examinations while 1,31,285 students took the Bangladesh Technical Education Board (BTEB) exam.
Last year, the results were published on May 6.
